How it works · in four pictures

From your city to your circle.

No CV, no essay and no payment — about three minutes, then a person reviews your profile.

  1. Your city

    Choose your city

Pick the Tier 1 city where you live or work most of the week.

  2. One-time code

    Verify your work email

Official email only. A one-time code confirms the address is yours.

  3. By a person

    Reviewed, not automated

A person on our team reads every profile before anyone is welcomed.

  4. Small rooms

    Meet your circle

Hosted gatherings close to where you work, sized so everyone speaks.

Why local

Small rooms, not conferences.

  1. Every function at the table

A CFO, a CHRO and a CTO facing the same decision from different sides.

  2. Introductions by consent

We connect people only when both sides say yes.

  3. Contribute when you are ready

Speak, write or host an edition — optional, never a condition.

Who it is for

A room you can trust.

Selective by design: the circle only works if everyone in it is a peer.

Who we review for

  • CXOs and heads of functionIncluding VPs and Directors who own a function, a P&L or a site.
  • Founders and partnersLeading firms with comparable scope and responsibility.
  • Country and site leadersIncluding the leaders who run India operations for global companies.
  • Scope over titleWe look at what you are responsible for, not only the title on your card.

Where we draw the line

  • Not a conferenceRooms are small and hosted, so everyone at the table speaks.
  • Not open registrationEvery profile is reviewed by a person before anyone is welcomed.
  • Built for people who already leadTeams of leaders, a function or a business — not a first management role.
  • Not a sales listYour phone and email are never shown to members, sponsors or hosts.

Questions

Good to know before you register.

What is HCI Local?

HCI Local is the city-level community of HCI Talks: reviewed circles of senior leaders who meet in person in their own city, across twenty leadership functions.

Is there a fee?

No. Core membership is free. Anything optional that costs money, such as a company-hosted edition, is scoped and agreed separately and never a condition of joining.

Why do you insist on an official email?

It keeps the circles professional and helps us review your profile. Personal and temporary mailboxes are not accepted, and a one-time code confirms the address is yours.

Who can join?

CXOs, VPs, Directors and Heads of function, plus founders, partners and country or site leaders with comparable responsibility. We look at the scope of the role, not only the title.

Does registering make me a member?

Not yet. Every registration is reviewed individually. If your profile fits, we contact you with a welcome and the next gathering in your city. Registering does not reserve an event seat.

What happens to my details?

They are used to review your registration and run your city circle. They are kept in HCI Talks’ systems and our CRM provider (HubSpot); if you are already in our CRM, we add the HCI Local tag and fill only details that are missing. We also keep a security record of the submission (IP address and browser). Your phone and email are never shown to other members or given to sponsors or hosts.

My city is not listed. Can I still join?

HCI Local starts with India’s eight Tier 1 cities. If you can regularly attend in one of them, register there. Otherwise, apply to the wider HCI Talks community and we will tell you when your city opens.
