HR advisory · Hiring strategy

Agree the decisions behind recruitment.

Who owns role definition, assessment, selection and escalation? Where does the internal talent team’s accountability meet an agency’s or a setup partner’s remit? A proposed review settles one of these questions before the hiring wave runs into it.

When it helps

Hiring is planned, approvals are not.

Requisitions are open, but the handover between headquarters, India and partners is still being interpreted differently by each side.

Or a setup provider has delivered what was agreed, and the next people decision begins where their remit stopped. Nothing has gone wrong: this is what a clean handover looks like from the sponsor’s side.

Scope

A decision review, not a recruitment service.

A proposed review can focus on

  • One unresolved decision-rights question behind the hiring wave
  • Who owns role definition, assessment, selection and escalation
  • Where internal accountability meets an agency or partner remit
  • The evidence the sponsor needs before approving the next step

It is not

  • Candidate sourcing or vacancy fulfilment
  • Outsourced recruitment or RPO delivery
  • Executive search — a separate mandate with its own terms
  • A guarantee of hires, timelines or talent supply

Any executive-search requirement needs a separate mandate, commercial terms and fresh consent. An advisory enquiry does not create a candidate or search assignment.

Start with what is covered

Check existing scope first.

Your internal HR team, setup provider or specialist firm may already own the answer. Qualification would check their scope first, along with your sponsor’s authority and the evidence available.

An enquiry is welcome while you are clarifying the question. A wider transformation or an operational service may need a different provider.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Will you source candidates for us?

No. Candidate sourcing, vacancy fulfilment and RPO delivery are outside this review. Executive search is a separate mandate with its own terms and fresh consent.

Do we need to become members?

No. A company can submit an advisory enquiry without joining HCI Talks. Community membership and advisory participation are separate.

Can we share employee or confidential information?

Please do not send it in the initial form. Start with nonconfidential context. Any later information sharing must follow agreed permissions, access and confidentiality arrangements.

Advice from operators, not consultants.

Settle the decision before the wave.

Send a short, nonconfidential brief. No adviser is assigned before scope, expertise and terms are agreed.
